COMAO FLYING COURSE

The TLP COMAO Flying Course aims to improve the tactical leadership skills and flying capabilities of front line fighter Mission Commanders (MCs), to improve the tactical interoperability of NATO Air Forces through exposure to tactics and capabilities of other Air Forces and to provide a flying laboratory for tactical employment concepts.

SUPPORT ASSETS

If you are joining the course as a support asset ( AWACS, SLOMO, HELO, JTAG, EXT TEAM, AAR, …) Please follow the following instructions:

1 – DETCOs request FC WELCOME PACKAGE from (cadmin@tlp-info.org).

2 – Expect Welcome package will be sent 60 days prior to the start of course. Until then request specific information from Admin or reference download section.

 

INTEL SUPPORT TO COMAO FLYING COURSE

During the TLP COMAO Flying Course, the participants are opposed to a large number of different threats and tactics in realistic and challenging missions. This will be done in a building block approach to progress the crews through a total of 12 missions.

C2/ISR TO COMAO FLYING COURSE

Each course includes GCI Controllers, AWACS Controllers, and ISR Operators. They are full course participants and have to liaise with external agencies and to brief/debrief aircrew participants during the course. This personnel should also be prepared to give presentations covering their own areas of expertise.

OPFOR TRAINING COURSE

The TLP OPFOR Training Programme offers RED AIR participants the opportunity to participate in the TLP COMAO Flying Course. It aims to improve the skills of the tactical fighter aircrews in the replication of adversary tactics.
The course also enables a free exchange of information on weapons, tactics, and capabilities between the participating nations. By providing an environment that encourages the discussion and development of multi-national tactics, participants find the best way to employ the differing aircraft capabilities of the multi-national forces in an OPFOR environment.

RMC FLYING COURSE

The TLP RMC Flying Course aims to teach technical and tactical skills and develop flying capabilities of Rescue Mission Commanders (RMCs) and to provide NATO Air Forces a pool of experts able to conduct such sensitive missions in symmetrical and asymmetrical conflicts.
