CSAR/RMC Course

Course objectives.
The CSAR/RMC course will lay the foundation for knowledge and understanding of Personnel Recovery (PR) Doctrine, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures. The course aims to provide a broad awareness of COMAO PR to tactical operators, in order to prepare them to integrate into future operations & exercises.
The course will briefly review the PR doctrine, architecture and the roles of all involved key players, focusing on the planning (Timeline & Com Plan) and execution of COMAO CSAR operations.
Several external speakers will be present to provide specialized expertise. For example: LEGAD and operators with real-world experience.
Students may be required to give a 10-15 minute presentation of their current military role, expertise and platform/aircraft. Emphasis will be placed on CSAR-related assets and roles. Each student will need to have a presentation ready before the start of the first day of the course in the event these are considered to supplement a lecture.

Course length and start/finish of course.
8 Days. The course starts on Tuesday 08:50 and finish Thursday (second week) at 12:00 local time. Reference the Courses tab (link to calendar) for precise dates.
Course target audience.
The course is aimed at junior aircrew. Military personnel with different backgrounds e.g. CAOC, SOF, and INTEL can also benefit from this course. Since this is a basic entry level course, preference will be given to individuals who have not had the opportunity to attend any formal training in the past.
Course composition.
The course will run with a minimum of 12 participants of any role/specialty.
