FIRST INTEL AND SUPPORT COURSES OF THE YEAR OF TACTICAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME (TLP) CONCLUDE

Last Friday, 15th March, TLP completed the first INTEL and SUPPORT courses offered in its 2024 calendar.

The INTEL 24-1 course, which started on Monday 4th March, was attended by 22 participants. The nationalities present at this first edition of this year’s course were Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, being all of them MoU nations. The course aims to enhance the participant’s skills required to provide intelligence support to Composite Air Operations (COMAO). In order to achieve this objective, the course focuses on analytic skills and advanced intelligence topics featuring threat, tactics, and target analysis. Additionally, participants will have an opportunity to apply what they learn in a realistic training environment.

The SUPPORT 24-1 course, which started on Tuesday, 5th March, was attended by 72 participants from 12 different nationalities, 9 of them from MoU nations (Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom) and 3 of them from guest nations (the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland). The SUPPORT course is designed to provide a broad knowledge of operations to tactical operators in order to prepare them for integration into future COMAOs. It is aimed at military personnel who work directly or indirectly with combat aircraft and support assets involved in such missions. It is also a stepping stone for aircrew, intelligence officers and GCI controllers wishing to subsequently attend the synthetic COMAO and flying COMAO courses developed by the TLP.
