End of the Tactical Leadership Programme Flying Course 2015-3

TLP Flying Course (FC) 2015-3 has concluded and the aircraft and assets participating in this four-week exercise, which began on the 14th of September and ended on the 9th of October, finalised their redeployment at Albacete Air Base.

The course consisted of aircrew attending from Greece, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, United States of America, Poland and Switzerland. With aircraft such as F-18, F-15C, Eurofighters and F-16.

In addition to the 20 Blue assets, 7 support assets joined FC 2015-3, such as NATO AWACS, Spanish Navy (1 Helo) and Army (live SBAD).

Red assets were as follows; EW Systems (POLYGON USAF and JAMCAR NLD), Spanish Army SBAD System from RAAA-73, EF-2000 ESPAF, EF-2000 RAF, F15C USAF based in Lakenheald Air Base (United Kingdom), F-18 Swiss Air Force and EF-18 ESPAF.

During the first week of the course, the exercise “VOLCANEX” ran with UK, ITA and ESP assets participating in FC 2015-3, GER ground crew also joint the EXERCISE.

14 missions were carried out during FC 2015-3, with a total of 650 hours flown distributed in 360 sorties. In addition to the missions, 2nd wave flights were flown among UK, USA and ESPAF alongside the exercise.

A total of 19 aircrew, 5 Intel and 3 GCI controllers have graduated in this TLP FC 2015-3. The selected “Course Warrior” was Spanish Cap. Mato, form 12th Wing.On the other hand, during this FC, the Tactical Leadership Programme hosted some distinguished military and civilian visitors, such as; Castilla-La Mancha Government Delegate Mr. José Julián Gregorio López, 3rd Air Force and 17th Expeditionary Air Force Commander Lt Gen Timothy M. Ray, CAOC TJ Commander Maj Gen Rubén García Servert together with the DCAOC Commander and the Director of Operations, and the Swiss Ambassador Mr. Thomas Kolly.
