RMC Academic Course

Course objectives.

The Combat Search and Rescue course will lay the foundation for knowledge and understanding of CSAR Doctrine, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures. The course aims to provide a broad awareness of COMAO CSAR to tactical operators, in order to prepare them to integrate into future operations & exercises.

The CSAR course will briefly review the CSAR doctrine, architecture and the roles of all involved key players, focusing on the planning (Timeline & Com Plan) and execution of COMAO CSAR operations.

Several external speakers will be present to provide specialized expertise. For example: LEGAD and operators with real-world experience.

Students may be required to give a 10-15 minute presentation of their current military role, expertise and platform/aircraft. Emphasis will be placed on CSAR-related assets and roles. Each student will need to have a presentation ready before the start of the first day of the course in the event these are considered to supplement a lecture.
